
Natalia Repinascriptwriter
Natalia Repina was born in Moscow in 1967. According to her first education she is a philologist. She studied in Moscow State University the 20th century poetry. Her diploma work was about Mandelshtam. Studying in the evenings in the daytime she worked for Mosfilm studio. There she’d got professional knowledge from one of the best soviet film editors Valeria Belova (film editor of L. Shepitko, E. Klimov, E. Riazanov). She worked with films of E. Riazanov, M. Kazakov, M. Tumanishvilly, A. Dobrovolsky. After graduation from the University she taught Russian Language and literature in the Central musical school connected with Moscow conservatory. She also wrote critical articles on poetry for periodical press (Newspapers “Alphabet”, “Book review”, magazine “Znamia”). In 2004 she entered scenario courses of High Courses of scriptwriters and film directors. Diploma script “Recognisance not to leave” was published in the magazine “Art and Cinema” in 2005. Filmography is not so big at the moment: offscreen texts for the documentary “Children at another shore” (“Kvart” studio, director L. Fishel, 2005) and feature film “Extra time” (film studio named after M. Gorky, director A. Brunkovsky, 2005). Since 2006 Natalia Repina is the chief editor of social announcement department of “Culture” Channel.
