Sergey Ovcharov

In 1976 graduated from the Moscow State Culture Institute in the studio of Grigory Roshal, a USSR People`s Artist, Professor of the All-Union State Institute of Cinema, laureate of many Stalin and State prizes and film director. (Roshal began his film-directing career during the age of silent moving pictures).
In 1979 completed the advanced director`s and screenwriter`s course at Goskino (State Film) USSR in the studio of Gleb Panfilov. Since 1979 Ovcharov has worked at the Lenfilm Studio as a first-team film director.
Ovcharov has worked as a theater director and script writer at the Taganka Theater in Moscow.
Since 1972 Ovcharov has written some thirty screenplays for educational films, advertising, music videos, short-length and full-length films.
Ovcharov creates films based only on his own screenplays.
